It was late September 2002 when I made a call to a singles "dating" line when Curtis Coleman and I started to chat. It was his voice that made me feel so warm inside. He new just what to say to make me feel wanted. He just finished his tour in Detroit,MI. We decided to drive to a half way point and meet. I got a full tour of his bus, he played some of his music , we chatted among other things. Curtis Coleman became the father of Cheyanne Rayn on July 2, 2003.
It saddens me to think that he has dedicated 12+ years of his life to childrens songs, music, programs and educating them but has turned his back on his own daughter. To think that she may never know him like you all know him, and to think that he has used his illness to cancer as an excuse not to cooperate with the courts to help support what he helped to create.
So even though he is a great friend to you all, he is just another dead beat dad to me!
